Centering Love & Liberation
Ever Unfolding Founder, Rev. Deanna Vandiver
Born in a lowland salt marsh, educated by a mighty river, and called by love to an island first inhabited by the people of the clear saltwater, the Rev. Deanna Vandiver (she/her/they) is a Minister of Love and Liberation affiliated with the Church of the Larger Fellowship Unitarian Universalist and founder of Ever Unfolding LLC, an emergent ministry of spiritual accompaniment and creativity. Deanna served on the Beloved Conversations Virtual Un/Learning for Liberation design team and is deeply grateful to the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond (pisab.org) for shaping her core understandings of how systemic racism dehumanizes all of us. They have recently joined the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) in the role of Director of Justice Education.
Deanna served as Co-Director of the Center for Ethical Living and Social Justice Renewal in New Orleans before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2018. With certification in Spiritual Leadership Coaching (Peace Ministry LLC) and Experiential Education and Leadership (Tulane University’s Center for Public Service), Deanna has served in many emergent leadership roles since arriving to the Salish Sea. A called auntie in the world, Deanna has nibblings and godchildren across time zones and, increasingly, generations. Spiraling with (hopefully) more grace and (definitely) less certainty through the ever unfolding mystery of life, Deanna finds sustaining joy by the water and magical possibilities in every glue stick, garden, and collaboration.
